Italian club AC Milan is preparing a midfield overhaul for manager Massimiliano Allegri, aiming to secure a trio of experienced players – Leon Goretzka, Luka Modrić and Adrien Rabiot – if the team qualifies for next season's Champions League.

Goretzka, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires in June 2026, is reportedly available on a free transfer. Milan intends to offer a three‑year deal with an optional fourth year, paying €5 million net per year plus bonuses. Allegri has spoken directly with the German midfielder, and the club says the signing will be formalised once Champions League qualification is confirmed.

Modrić’s future also hinges on the Champions League spot; the Croatian midfielder is expected to renew on his current terms of €3.5 million net annually with bonuses. Rabiot is part of the broader midfield plan, with the three intended to provide leadership and depth for Milan’s 2026‑27 campaign.
