AC Milan targets Markus Krösche for Head of Football role
AC Milan is in advanced negotiations to appoint Markus Krösche as the club’s new Head of Football. Following his resignation from Eintracht Frankfurt, owner Gerry Cardinale has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with the German executive for a three-year contract.
Krösche’s proposed role would involve significant responsibilities, balancing daily presence at the training ground with Ruben Amorim and overseeing transfer market operations. The objective is to identify players that fit the team's style while focusing on talent development and resale value.
Two primary obstacles remain before the deal is finalized. First, Milan must negotiate a release clause with Eintracht Frankfurt, with estimates suggesting a compensation fee of approximately 4 to 5 million euros. Second, Krösche intends to bring trusted staff members, such as talent scout Timmo Hardung, to join the Milanello structure.
