AC Milan targets new center-backs following Gabbia injury
AC Milan is prioritizing the recruitment of a new center-back for the January transfer window following a long-term injury to Matteo Gabbia. Gabbia is expected to be sidelined for at least three months due to a left hamstring muscle tear that has affected part of the tendon.
The club is reportedly focusing on two primary targets. Gonçalo Inácio of Sporting CP remains a top priority; Milan has reportedly reactivated contact with the player's agents, and a transfer fee exceeding 40 million euros may be required. Inácio is said to be favorable toward the move.
Additionally, Milan is monitoring Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae. The South Korean international, who previously played for Napoli, is considered a strong tactical fit for manager Ruben Amorim's system. Milan is seeking favorable economic conditions to pursue the defender, who currently earns a significant salary at Bayern Munich.
