AC Milan to honor Franco Baresi with special jersey patch

AC Milan will honor legendary former captain Franco Baresi throughout the 2026-2027 season by featuring a commemorative patch on all club kits. The emblem, which bears the slogan ‘6 per sempre’ (6 forever), will be placed on the left sleeve of the jerseys for the men’s first team, women’s team, Milan Futuro, and Primavera squads.

The patch’s design is a tribute to Baresi’s iconic number 6 and his long tenure as captain. The typography used for the slogan was digitized from handwritten messages left by fans in a condolence book at Casa Milan following his death on July 31 at age 66.

The tribute will debut this weekend, starting with the women’s team against Como Women on August 22, followed by the men’s team during their match against Torino on August 23. Fans can also have the patch added to official jerseys purchased at Milan Stores.
