AC Milan to honor Franco Baresi with commemorative patch

AC Milan will honor legendary former captain Franco Baresi by wearing a special commemorative patch during their match against Torino. The patch, featuring the phrase ‘6 per sempre’ (6 forever), is a tribute to Baresi, who passed away recently and famously wore the number 6 during his tenure with the club from 1982 to 1997.

The design incorporates characters selected from handwritten messages left by fans at Casa Milan. The patch will be placed on the left sleeve, the same arm Baresi used to wear his captain's armband. This initiative will be implemented across all Milan teams, including the men's first team, Milan Futuro, and the Primavera squad, throughout the 2026/27 season.

In match action, Milan's Primavera team secured a 3-2 victory over Torino in their league debut. Despite Torino playing with a man advantage for a period, a late goal by Dotta secured the win for Milan.
