AC Milan pursues Hojbjerg and Nwaneri as part of midfield overhaul
AC Milan’s new head coach Ruben Amorim has identified Danish midfielder Pierre‑Emile Højbjerg as a primary target. The club would need to create space and funds by selling Samuele Ricci and Youssouf Fofana before completing the €15 million‑valued signing.
The Rossoneri have also opened dialogue with Arsenal about 19‑year‑old Ethan Nwaneri. Arsenal’s stated asking price is around €35 million and the player is under a contract that runs to 2030. Milan are not the only suitor; clubs such as Leipzig, Everton and Fulham have also shown interest.
In addition to Højbjerg and Nwaneri, Milan are reportedly monitoring other attacking options, including Mathias Soulé – priced at about €40 million – and the Argentine youngster Franco Mastantuono on a possible loan from Real Madrid. Earlier this summer Milan confirmed the signings of Gonçalo Ramos and centre‑back Mario Gila, signalling an active transfer window.
