AC Nardò Under‑16 Qualifies for Coppa Puglia as Club Appoints Mauro Chianese Head Coach

The AC Nardò Under‑16 team earned a place in the 2025/2026 Coppa Puglia after finishing third in Girone D with 24 points, recording 7 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats while scoring 34 goals and conceding 24. The youth side will face Savapresso at the Centro Sportivo di Lequile on 31 May in a quarter‑final that could lead to a semifinal berth.

Separately, AC Nardò announced the hiring of Mauro Chianese, a 1973‑born Salernitan coach, as the new manager for its senior squad in Serie D. Chianese, who began his coaching career in 2008 with Cavese’s youth sector and later led clubs such as Aversa Normanna, Portici, Savoia, Brindisi, Chieti and L’Aquila, said he rejected other offers to join Nardò, pledging his professionalism and commitment to the club’s heritage and future ambitions.
