Academia José Calabrese students perform in Valencia recitals

Students of the Academia Internacional de Música Maestro José Calabrese, affiliated with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Carabobo, recently performed a series of recitals at the Hotel Hesperia WTC Valencia. The performances featured a variety of repertoire, including soloists and chamber music groups, showcasing the technical training of the students.

A special concert also featured the academy’s estudiantina, directed by Liliana Zerpa, performing emblematic Venezuelan music. The event included performances by the Coro Inicial, led by Sikiú Domínguez, and the Coro Académico, led by María Gabriela Betancourt, which recently received awards at the II Festival de Corales IBT.

During the event, student Santiago Tamayo received certification from the Centro de Estudios de Extensión of the Universidad José Antonio Páez (Ceujap) for several musical disciplines. The academy is noted for being the only institution in the country with university endorsement for its programs.
