Academia Jovem Concertante performs in Rio Grande do Norte

The Academia Jovem Concertante (AJC) is performing in Rio Grande do Norte as part of a national tour. The group of string players will perform at Teatro Alberto Maranhão in Natal, featuring a didactic concert for students followed by a main performance. The tour continues to Mossoró, with a concert scheduled at Teatro Municipal Dix-Huit Rosado.

Created in 2009 by Brasil Classical, the AJC serves as a high-performance training laboratory designed to bridge the gap between academic musical training and the professional orchestral market. The project has trained over 1,000 musicians and reached more than 100,000 people through more than 200 concerts. This specific tour places a special emphasis on highlighting talents from the Northeast region of Brazil.

The project is under the artistic direction of pianist Simone Leitão and musical direction of violinist Thierry de Lucas. The initiative aims to democratize classical music and prepare young musicians for careers in major orchestras both in Brazil and abroad.
