Academia Mato-grossense de Letras hosts heritage event in Cuiabá

The Academia Mato-grossense de Letras (AML) will host a new edition of its ‘Casa Aberta’ project on Thursday, August 13, in Cuiabá. The event, themed ‘Mato Grosso é Patrimônio’, is dedicated to the historical heritage of the state and will take place at the Casa Barão from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

The free program includes an academic discussion titled ‘Patrimônio Cuiabano’, featuring Antônio Ernani Calháo, Ana Joaquina da Cruz Oliveira from Iphan-MT, and architects Lise Bokorni and Enodes Ferreira from CAU-MT. The discussion will cover the Virtual Memorial of the State Plan for Mapping and Identifying the Historical Heritage of Mato Grosso.

Additional activities include archaeology and photography exhibitions, such as ‘A vida cotidiana no Largo do Rosário’ and works from the CAU-MT urban landscape contest. The evening will also feature a slam poetry competition for female voices, a capoeira performance by the Aruandê group, an art installation, and a vintage flea market.
