Academic and agricultural events held in Huila, Colombia

The Universidad Surcolombiana hosted the IV Surcolombian Meeting of Research, Science, and Technology in Pitalito on September 10 and 11. The event featured approximately 140 presentations from students across the La Plata, Neiva, and Garzón campuses. Research areas included biodiversity, social sciences, law, economics, education, engineering, and health.

Additionally, SENA will participate in the International Coffee, Cocoa, and Agrotourism Fair (FICCA) Huila 2026, scheduled for October 1 to 4 in Neiva. The program will include workshops, tastings, and chocolate demonstrations led by experts from the Huila, Tolima, and Santander regions to promote knowledge transfer regarding coffee and cocoa production.
