Academic and cultural festivals held at UDP and UNAM
The third edition of the i3M Festival was held at the Faculty of Communication and Letters, organized by the Center for Research in Communication, Literature, and Social Observation (CICLOS UDP). Fourteen undergraduate groups from Journalism, Advertising, and Creative Literature presented research findings in three-minute presentations. Topics included masculinity on TikTok, information access for the elderly, gambling advertising on social media, and digital image management for presidential candidates.
Meanwhile, the 33rd International University Theater Festival (FITU) is scheduled to take place at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) from September 3 to 13. The festival features productions from Mexico, Spain, Chile, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Highlights include the Chilean-Belgian-Dutch co-production ‘Minga de una casa en ruinas’ and the Spanish production ‘PLAY (Un atlas sobre el odio)’, which explores hate speech through theater and installation.
