Academic City submits cybersecurity white paper to Ghana Minister
Academic City University, in collaboration with the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) and the Cyber Security Authority, has submitted a cybersecurity white paper to Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George.
The document was developed following a stakeholder roundtable held during the previous year’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. It provides recommendations aimed at strengthening Ghana’s cybersecurity ecosystem, specifically focusing on building national talent and capacity, developing local cybersecurity solutions, and transitioning from policy development to measurable implementation.
Minister George welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that policy direction must be supported by strong institutions, industry participation, and research that translates into practical solutions. The Ministry intends to review the recommendations to explore collaborative opportunities for building a more resilient digital ecosystem.
