Academic initiatives in Italy explore science, philosophy, and creativity

Several academic programs in Italy are launching initiatives to bridge the gap between scientific and humanistic disciplines.

The Lake Como School of Advanced Studies will host a session titled “The science of creativity: new discoveries and new perspectives” at Villa del Grumello in Cernobbio. Led by professors Maria Rita Canina of the Politecnico di Milano and Laura Macchi of the University of Milano-Bicocca, the event will examine the psychology of thought, design, and how artificial intelligence influences the way humans imagine and project future possibilities.

Simultaneously, the University of Insubria and the Galileo Ferraris Scientific High School in Varese have launched the 18th edition of the “Giovani Pensatori” (Young Thinkers) project. Centered on the theme “Images of knowledge between science and philosophy,” the program aims to promote interdisciplinary knowledge. The initiative, now under the scientific supervision of Professor Antonio Maria Orecchia, includes events such as a conference on Gramsci and science in collaboration with the International Gramsci Society Italia.
