Academic institutions hold events for International Day of Peace

Educational institutions in Honduras and Mexico held events to commemorate the International Day of Peace, focusing on dialogue, respect, and non-violence.

In San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the Universidad Cristiana Evangélica Nuevo Milenio (UCENM) hosted the 4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence in My City. The event, which included participation from the organization Mundo Sin Guerras en Honduras, featured reflections on ethical values and peaceful coexistence. The ceremony included spiritual guidance and cultural performances by the UCENM Folklore Dance Group.

In Mexico, the Faculty of Medicine at UNAM held its 2nd Forum on the Culture of Peace. The forum emphasized the importance of peace within the healthcare field, framing it as a daily practice of listening, truthfulness, and respecting autonomy. The faculty reaffirmed institutional commitments to promoting human dignity, empathy, and solidarity in academic and clinical environments.
