Academic institutions host international events on rehabilitation and inclusive education
The Polytechnic University of Viseu (UPV) will host the international congress ‘Rehabilitar para a Vida’ from September 10 to 12, 2026. Organized by the Viseu Higher School of Health (ESSV), the hybrid event aims to bring together researchers, professors, and rehabilitation nurses from Portugal and abroad to discuss the future of rehabilitation nursing, focusing on autonomy, functionality, and quality of life.
The congress will feature an International Table with specialists from France, Greece, and China to discuss digital transformation in rehabilitation. Additionally, a ‘World Café’ session will facilitate collaboration between clinical practice, academia, and research.
In a separate academic initiative, Professor Vítor Franco from the University of Évora will deliver a lecture on inclusive education in Macaé, Brazil. The lecture, titled ‘A School for the Future: The Current School and the Challenges of Inclusive Education’, will be hosted by the UFRJ-Macaé Multidisciplinary Center to address developmental disorders and early intervention strategies.
