Academic institutions in Brazil host events focused on gender and science

The Federal University of Goiás (UFG), through its Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health (IPTSP), held a workshop titled “Maternagem e Questões Relacionadas a Gênero” (Mothering and Gender-Related Issues). Led by Professor Fernanda Ramos Parreira, the session aimed to discuss how universities can better support students who must balance academic life with caregiving responsibilities, addressing gender inequalities in the academic environment.

Additionally, the University of International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (Unilab) will participate in the 10th edition of the Ceará Knowledge Fair (FdCX) from November 5 to 7 in Fortaleza. The fair’s theme, “Ciência Delas,” highlights women's leadership in innovation and science. Unilab will host a stand to showcase its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, research groups, and international cooperation projects.
