Latin American academic and industrial sectors expand collaborative partnerships

Various academic and industrial institutions in Latin America are establishing new partnerships to foster innovation, research, and professional training.

In Chile, the University of Concepción’s Faculty of Biological Sciences is exploring scientific and technological collaborations with Agrosuper S.A. The initiative aims to address industrial challenges in food innovation, sustainability, and animal health through expertise in biochemistry and biotechnology. Additionally, the Industrial and Mining Training Center (CEIM) is discussing a Memorandum of Understanding with Tecnológico de Monterrey to address technological shifts in mining, such as automation and artificial intelligence.

In Argentina, the National University of Tucumán has formalized an agreement between its Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Natural Sciences to launch interdisciplinary projects. These include STEAM-based initiatives combining biological micrographics with visual arts and audiovisual productions for educational inclusion.

In Mexico, MEXabat has donated plastic materials to the Universidad Madero (UMAD) to support fashion design and business students in material experimentation and innovative manufacturing processes.
