Academic libraries in Poland host scientific library days and anniversaries

Academic and pedagogical libraries in Poland are marking significant milestones and participating in national initiatives. In Olsztyn, the Warmia-Masuria Pedagogical Library named after Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński celebrated its 80th anniversary with a commemorative session. The event included a historical presentation by Director Hanna Okońska and a lecture by Professor Ryszard Koziołek on the role of books as instruments.

Additionally, the University of Warsaw Library (BUW) is hosting the first edition of the National Scientific Library Days from November 4 to 6. Organized by the Association of Higher Education Libraries under the theme ‘Science begins in the library,’ the initiative involves academic libraries across Poland. The program includes workshops, lectures, and exhibitions aimed at promoting libraries as modern centers for research, innovation, and scientific heritage.
