Academic libraries in Prague announce job openings

Two major academic institutions in Prague are seeking new staff members for specialized library roles.

The Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences is recruiting for a public services position. The role involves managing the lending department, providing information and reference services, and assisting with the scientific library collection. The position offers a starting salary of 35,200 CZK gross and includes benefits such as language courses and five weeks of vacation.

Charles University's Faculty of Arts is also hiring a series manager and cataloger. This role focuses on the retro-cataloging and management of printed series and periodicals across various departmental libraries. The position offers a monthly salary between 35,000 CZK and 40,000 CZK gross.
