Academic research centers announce 2026-2027 seminar programs

Academic institutions in France and Belgium have announced their seminar programs for the 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on specialized historical and digital research.

The Interdisciplinary Research Group on Fascisms (GRIF), a junior laboratory supported by Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis and several other research centers, will hold monthly seminars in Paris. The program includes sessions on fascist trade unionism, the ideology of fascism, and the relationship between fascism and religion.

Additionally, the Lab5 of the Centre de recherche universitaire lorrain d’histoire (CRULH) has released its seminar schedule. This program focuses heavily on digital humanities, featuring topics such as generative artificial intelligence in social sciences, digital editions of historical texts, and the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) for literary text analysis.
