Academic research examines radio communication and rural education in Brazil
Two distinct academic studies from Brazil address specialized regional challenges.
In the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, research has proposed an optimization model to improve the radio communication systems used by the Military Police of the State of São Paulo (PMESP). By utilizing the NSGA-II algorithm to redistribute internal loads among licensed channels, the study aims to mitigate spectral pressure in dense urban areas. Results indicated a significant reduction in maximum average occupancy, dropping from 87.4% to 47.3%.
In Paraná, a master's thesis examines the implementation of the Multigrade Rural Public Schools Project. This pilot project, led by the State University of Western Paraná (UNIOESTE), addresses pedagogical changes and innovations required for rural schools with fewer than 35 students in the final years of elementary education, following state educational resolutions.
