Academic research studies published in Peru and Ecuador

Several academic research projects have been documented regarding civil engineering and agricultural improvements in South America.

In Peru, research from the Universidad Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión focuses on improving earthmoving productivity in the Yanacancha-Pasco district by analyzing the performance of loading and transport equipment, specifically Volvo trucks and CAT excavators. Additionally, a study in the Colpas-Huánuco district evaluated the effectiveness of biological insecticides against the flea beetle (Epitrix sp.) in Canchan potato crops, finding that vegetable oil treatments showed significant potential for pest mortality.

In Ecuador, a project from the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana proposes a geometric and structural design for a 2.36 km access road to the Guel parish in the Sígsig canton. The design aims to address drainage issues and surface deformation through a three-layer flexible pavement system to improve local connectivity and road safety.
