Academic researchers receive Doctor Honoris Causa distinctions
The Universidad Nacional de Itapúa (UNI) in Paraguay will confer the title of Doctor Honoris Causa upon Dr. Jesús Martínez Frías. A researcher and professor with the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), Dr. Martínez Frías is the founder of the Spanish Network of Planetology and Astrobiology (REDESPA) and has collaborated on NASA missions. Notably, through a memorandum of understanding with REDESPA, UNI became the only Latin American university included in the Artemis II lunar mission.
In Argentina, the International Organization for Inclusion and Educational Quality (OIICE) awarded Doctor Honoris Causa and the Golden Magisterial Order to Dr. Diana Isabel Hernández Juárez. A professor at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) in Mexico, Dr. Hernández Juárez was recognized for 33 years of research in feminist literature, sexual diversity, and gender-perspective journalism.
