Academic workshops explore research ethics and literary hybridization
Academic institutions are hosting specialized workshops to explore the intersection of research, social responsibility, and artistic hybridization.
At Université Grenoble Alpes, the SEnS workshop is designed for researchers to discuss the ethical consequences of their work and the role of scientific research within the Anthropocene. Led by researchers Nicolas Gast, Basile Hector, and Geremy Panthou, the session aims to foster collective social and environmental responsibility in research beyond simple environmental footprint calculations.
In Quebec, a study day organized by the Laboratoire Ex situ will examine hybrid literary arts. The event explores works that merge writing with distinct cultural practices, such as tattooing, tarot, or maritime maps. This research focuses on how literature interacts with urban displays, immersive environments, and various plastic or media arts to create new expressive capacities.
