Academy of Athens and ERT sign cooperation agreement

The Academy of Athens and the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to mark the centenary of the Academy's founding. The agreement aims to bring scientific thought and intellectual creativity closer to the public through various media formats.

The partnership includes the co-production of documentaries, short informative programs, and the coverage of anniversary events. The Academy will provide academic expertise, researchers, and scientific, historical, and archival materials to ensure the quality and supervision of the content. These productions will be distributed across ERT’s television and radio programs, digital platforms, and social media channels.

The memorandum was signed by Nikiforos Diamantouros, President of the Academy, Antonios Regakos, General Secretary of the Academy, and Giannis Papadopoulos, President of ERT. Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis also attended the ceremony, noting that the production of podcasts and vidcasts would help younger generations engage with the country’s history and achievements.
