Acadia National Park ranked as a top autumn destination
Acadia National Park in Maine has been recognized as one of the premier national parks to visit during the fall season. According to the travel website More Than Just Parks, Acadia was ranked as the third-best park in the United States for autumn, following Great Smoky Mountains and Rocky Mountain National Parks.
The park is noted for its dense hardwood forests, vivid fall colors, and diverse landscape, which includes rocky shorelines, hidden ponds, and lakes. Popular activities during the season include camping, sightseeing, horseback riding, kayaking, and hiking. A major highlight is the summit of Cadillac Mountain, which offers views of the first sunrise in the continental United States for much of the year.
