ACAMB marks 30 years of banking communications in Nigeria

The Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB) celebrated its 30th anniversary at a gala in Lagos on September 30, 2026. The milestone event brought together leaders from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), and various major financial institutions.

During the event, regulators and industry leaders emphasized the importance of credibility, ethical conduct, and clarity in financial communications. ACAMB President Jide Sipe noted that the association has served as a bridge between banks and the public for three decades, helping to manage crises and protect institutional reputations.

Looking forward, the association plans to focus on evolving professional capacities, specifically regarding artificial intelligence, data, and digital media. Industry representatives urged communicators to prioritize transparency and innovation while maintaining high ethical standards to support the ongoing transformation of the banking sector.
