Acampamento Farroupilha attracts over 1.1 million visitors in Porto Alegre

The Acampamento Farroupilha in Porto Alegre has reached over 1.1 million visitors at Parque Harmonia since August 29. The event, which occupies 75,000 square meters with 236 piquetes, celebrates the theme ‘Jesuit and Guarani Heritage in Rio Grande do Sul: 400 years of culture and tradition.’ This year’s patron is singer and composer Fátima Gimenez.

In addition to musical performances and traditional arts, the event is being used to promote regional tourism. A workshop titled ‘A Voz do Churrasco,’ organized by the Rio Grande do Sul Tourism Secretariat (Setur RS) in partnership with a specialized podcast, focused on the role of meat as a cultural and touristic asset. The session included theoretical discussions on the meat production ecosystem and guided tastings to demonstrate how different production systems influence gastronomic experiences.
