Acapulco celebrates 40th anniversary and new album

The folk punk band Acapulco celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special concert at the Spichlerz club-café. The event served as both a jubilee and a promotion for their new interdisciplinary project, ‘Krótki film z Jarocina’, which integrates music, film, and theater.

A highlight of the evening was a performance by the band’s original 1986 lineup, featuring Józik, Fura, Waldi, and Sawana. The concert also included guest appearances by opera singer and violinist Bernard Pyrzyk, Olga Wojtkowiak, and clarinetist Karol Michalak. During the show, the group presented eight music videos from the new album that utilize archival footage from past festivals.
