Mexican security forces have arrested Eliceo 'V', also known as 'El Junior', in Acapulco, Guerrero. He is identified as a leader of a criminal cell linked to the 'Los Rusos' organization.
The arrest, a coordinated operation involving the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Navy (Semar), and Guerrero state authorities, follows intelligence work related to an attack on federal agents in October 2025. This capture marks the seventh arrest connected to that specific incident.
Authorities allege 'El Junior' was involved in the extortion of merchants at Acapulco's Central Market, homicides, and attacks on transporters. During the operation, which resulted in the death of one alleged gang member, officials seized two firearms, ammunition, approximately 300 doses of drugs, and a vehicle.
