Acapulco police honor pioneer officer Gloria Pacheco Cruz

The Acapulco Public Security Secretariat, under the administration of Leticia Lozano Zavala, honored officer Gloria Pacheco Cruz for her 40 years of service to the community. Pacheco is recognized as a pioneer in the force, having spent 20 years as a motorcycle officer in the Traffic Police, a role that was previously held exclusively by men.

To celebrate her career, Public Security Secretary Federico Argumedo Rodríguez led an honorary motorcycle ride through the main avenues of Acapulco, concluding at the department's facilities. During the ceremony, Pacheco reflected on the challenges of being one of the first women to operate motorcycles in the corporation.

In addition to her long tenure, Pacheco is among 20 women from the Acapulco Public Security Secretariat who voluntarily joined the National Military Service following an invitation from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA).
