Acapulco restores monument of Ho Chi Minh

A ceremony was held in the Mexican port city of Acapulco to inaugurate the restoration of a monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh. The event highlighted the historical parallels between the independence struggles of Vietnam and Mexico.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico, Nguyen Van Hai, expressed gratitude for the local government's support and emphasized that Ho Chi Minh’s legacy of fighting for freedom and justice serves as a global inspiration. He expressed hope that the site would serve as a cultural landmark for visitors to learn about Ho Chi Minh and the friendship between Vietnam and Mexico.

The Mayor of Acapulco pledged to continue preserving the monument, noting the shared values of sovereignty and independence between the two nations. Local Mexican media outlets have emphasized the monument as a symbol of solidarity and a foundation for future cooperation in sectors such as tourism, fishing, and culture.
