Acapulco strengthens tourism recovery with new air connectivity

The municipal government of Acapulco is implementing a strategy to strengthen air connectivity and bolster the port's economic and tourism recovery. A key component of this initiative is the launch of a new direct flight route between Cancún and Acapulco, operated by Viva Aerobus, scheduled to begin on November 3.

Local officials stated that increasing air connectivity is intended to attract more visitors, generate economic spillover, and create employment opportunities for local families. The strategy involves coordination between municipal, state, and federal government levels, alongside the private sector, to promote Acapulco as a major Mexican tourist destination.
