ACB Chairman Tran Hung Huy leads bank to major asset growth

Tran Hung Huy, the Chairman of Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), has led the institution through significant growth since assuming the role at age 34 in 2012. Born in 1978, Huy is the son of ACB co-founder Tran Mong Hung and board member Dang Thi Thu Thuy.

Huy holds a PhD in Economics from Golden Gate University in the United States and previously gained experience at the Rothschild Group. Under his leadership, ACB's total assets exceeded 1 quadrillion VND by the end of 2025, doubling its size compared to five years prior. As of 2025, ACB ranked third among private banks in Vietnam and eighth in the entire banking sector, contributing nearly 5,800 billion VND to the state budget. In August 2025, Huy became the first representative from a Vietnamese bank to speak at the APEC Public-Private Dialogue forum.
