The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its inaugural Graduate Scholar-Athlete of the Year list for the 2025‑26 academic year. The University of Louisville had eleven student‑athletes recognized, including seven from outdoor track & field and two each from football and men’s basketball. Names highlighted were Mackenzie Bell, Ryan Farrell, Logan Isaacs, Aly Khalifa, Shai Kochav, Roman Kuleshov, Emma McGill, Mahamane Moussa, Sharvari Parulekar, Kobe Rodgers and Kaia Tupu‑South.

The University of Virginia placed twenty‑two student‑athletes on the same list, spanning sports such as track & field, golf, rowing, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, field hockey, basketball, football, cross country, wrestling and more. Notable honorees included Cale Ayers, Paul Chang, Catherine Chénier‑Gagnon, Elyse Finnelle, Lia Godfrey, Bryn Greenwaldt, Suze Leemans, Romi Levy, Mitchell Melton and many others.

Eligibility required graduate‑level enrollment, successful completion of a graduate degree program, and meeting sport‑specific participation thresholds (at least 50% of team contests for team sports, and championship participation for individual sports). The ACC’s new award highlights the combination of academic achievement and athletic contribution among its member institutions.
