Accademia delle Belle arti L’Aquila launches audiovisual and design courses
The Accademia di Belle Arti dell’Aquila (ABAQ) has introduced two new two-year specialized programs: Cinema and Audiovisual, and Illustration for Publishing and Visual Design. These courses aim to train professionals to support the growing film and media industry in the Abruzzo region.
The initiative is supported by a three-year agreement with the Fondazione Abruzzo Film Commission. This partnership is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and the professional production system by providing students with access to film sets through internships, workshops, and masterclasses.
According to Academy President Rinaldo Tordera and regional officials, the programs are intended to make Abruzzo more attractive to major film productions by offering not only scenic locations but also a skilled local workforce. The curriculum for the cinema program covers various production stages, including dramaturgy, filming, and editing, while the design program focuses on graphic design and editorial languages.
