Accenture caps Claude Enterprise funding at $29 per month per employee
Accenture is implementing new restrictions on the centralized funding of Claude Enterprise, an AI tool developed by Anthropic. According to internal communications, starting October 1, 2026, the company will cap centralized funding at $29 per month per employee.
This decision is a response to the rising costs associated with the token-based consumption model used by generative AI services. While a fixed license fee is paid, actual usage costs are based on real-time consumption. Employees who previously incurred costs as high as $1,000 per month must now find ways to cover excess usage by charging it to specific client project budgets or local team accounts. If no project budget is available to absorb the additional costs, access to the tool may be restricted.
