Accenture explores potential $1.5 billion sale of China operations
Accenture is reportedly conducting a strategic review of its Greater China operations, potentially exploring a sale valued at up to $1.5 billion. The move follows unsolicited interest from strategic buyers in the region over the past year.
According to reports from the Financial Times, the company has engaged JPMorgan to manage the process. Potential suitors include private equity firms and a group of strategic purchasers. While a full exit is being considered, the company may opt to retain a minority stake to maintain a presence in the Chinese digital market while mitigating geopolitical and regulatory risks.
Accenture, a global IT consulting and professional services firm, reported $74.2 billion in revenue for fiscal 2026. The company’s Asia Pacific region contributed $10.7 billion to its total revenue. As of the end of the fiscal year, Accenture employed approximately 814,000 people.
