Accenture launches Accenture Construct for capital projects
Accenture has launched Accenture Construct, a new global business unit dedicated to the planning, delivery, and optimization of large-scale capital projects. The division will serve sectors such as energy, transportation, advanced manufacturing, and data centers.
The business aims to utilize data and artificial intelligence to mitigate common industry issues, including cost overruns, execution risks, and project delays caused by fragmented delivery models. By establishing a common project data foundation, the unit intends to provide owners with a consolidated view of project participants and use AI-enabled workflows for predictive decision-making.
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet noted that accelerating demand for critical infrastructure, combined with the transformative impact of AI, has created a significant market opportunity. The market for integrated owner-side capital project services is currently valued at $260 billion and is expected to grow to $348 billion by 2030.
