Accenture restricts Claude AI spending per employee
Accenture has implemented new restrictions on employee spending for the Claude AI model developed by Anthropic. While some employees or workgroups previously spent between approximately 430 and 860 euros per month, the company has moved toward a centralized funding model.
As of October 1, the company is reportedly providing the equivalent of roughly 25 euros per month per person. However, internal documents suggest these limits are not uniform; instead, specific caps are calibrated based on individual roles and team requirements. If an employee exceeds the threshold, they must designate a specific project or group to absorb the additional costs, and access is subject to periodic reviews based on business needs and actual usage.
This shift reflects a broader trend among large corporations to scrutinize artificial intelligence expenditures following an initial period of high enthusiasm and unconstrained usage, such as 'tokenmaxxing'—the practice of maximizing token consumption.
