Accenture wins $161.6m Australian digital health contract

The Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) has awarded Accenture Australia a contract to provide application support and maintenance services for its digital health infrastructure. The deal, valued at approximately $161.6 million, will run for three years from August 28, 2026, to August 27, 2029, with a potential extension until August 2032.

The contract covers the My Health Record system and the agency’s API gateway infrastructure. This comes at a period of high usage for My Health Record, which currently holds more than 25 million active records and sees roughly 30 million consumer views each month.

Under a new operating model, the ADHA will lead end-to-end service delivery, setting priorities and coordinating multiple suppliers while retaining accountability for governance and decision-making. This approach follows an open market procurement process and an audit that previously reviewed the agency’s infrastructure arrangements.
