Access Holdings boosts green assets to N92 bn and cuts emissions in 2025 sustainability report

Access Holdings Plc released its 2025 Sustainability Report, showing the group’s green asset portfolio grew to N92.14 billion, up from N22 billion in 2021 and N72.32 billion in 2024, moving toward a long‑term target of N475 billion. Operational greenhouse‑gas emissions fell 28.47% against the 2022 baseline, dropping to 49,352 tonnes of CO₂‑equivalent from 57,176 tonnes in 2024, driven by solarisation of 263 branches and the installation of 323 solar‑powered ATMs, mainly at Access Bank in Nigeria.

The firm deployed N72.3 billion under its Sustainable Finance Framework to eligible environmental projects and expanded its sustainability‑focused loan book to $1.269 billion. In 2025, Access Holdings extended finance to about 2.53 million low‑income individuals, onboarded 78,438 new MSMEs, processed 2.8 billion transactions, and issued 354,156 gender‑lens loans totalling N67.4 billion, representing 24% of the relevant portfolio.
