Accessibility Leader awards presented at the Presidential Palace

The 11th edition of the ‘Accessibility Leader’ architectural and urban competition concluded with a gala at the Presidential Palace, where awards were presented to projects excelling in universal design and accessibility for people with disabilities.

In the ‘Large Public Utility Object’ category, the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Psychology building was honored. Chancellor Robert Grey accepted the award on behalf of the university, noting that accessibility must be an integral part of the design process rather than an afterthought. The facility includes various research laboratories, seminar rooms, and a rooftop garden.

The Stodoła Culture Center in Zamarki won in the ‘Small Public Utility Object’ category. President Karol Nawrocki presented the award, highlighting the importance of breaking architectural barriers to build a stronger community. The project was supported by funds from the Government ‘Polish Order’ Fund.
