Accidents and fires reported in Vilanova i la Geltrú and Collblanc

In Vilanova i la Geltrú, a person using a motorized wheelchair sustained minor injuries and contusions after a collision with a bicycle in Plaça Cervantes. The accident occurred while the individual was maneuvering to avoid the curb in a cycle lane. Emergency services, including the Guàrdia Urbana and medical technicians, attended the scene, and the individual was transported to Hospital Arnau.

In Collblanc, a fire broke out in a ground-floor residence on Carrer de l'Estudi, reportedly caused by a charging electric scooter battery. Two people were hospitalized with minor burns at Hospital de Bellvitge and Hospital Vall d’Hebró. The building was evacuated, and the affected unit was rendered uninhabitable. A dog was successfully rescued from the building. This follows a similar incident involving an electric scooter fire in Pubilla Cases the previous night.
