Accidents in Poland involve child injuries and emergency helicopter transport
Two separate accidents involving children have occurred in Poland. In Karolków Szwarocki, a collision between a Renault Master and a Volvo on national road 92 resulted in two hospitalizations. The driver of the Renault, who was reportedly unlicensed, caused the vehicle to exit a secondary road and strike the Volvo. A 12-year-old passenger from the Renault required emergency transport via an Air Ambulance helicopter.
In Rydułtowy, a three-year-old boy fell from a fifth-floor balcony after his mother momentarily lost sight of him. The child landed on a lawn and was treated on-site by medical crews before being airlifted by the Air Ambulance to the Upper Silesian Children's Medical Center in Katowice. Local police confirmed the mother was sober at the time of the incident and are investigating the circumstances.
