Acciona inaugurates new AI-equipped electrical control center

Acciona has inaugurated a new control center designed to oversee and manage its electrical transmission assets. The facility is equipped with advanced technology and artificial intelligence to enhance the supervision of the power grid.

During the inauguration, Peru’s Minister of Energy and Mines, Guillermo Shinno, emphasized the necessity of building an efficient, modern, and secure transmission network to support economic growth, urban expansion, and industrial development. He noted that strengthening the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN) is vital for connecting generation centers with consumption hubs and ensuring a reliable supply to meet rising demand. Shinno also highlighted the challenges of the energy transition, including the integration of renewable energies and the need for continuous investment and innovation.
