Acciona President summoned to court over Navarre parliamentary summons

José Manuel Entrecanales, the president of Acciona, has been summoned to appear before an investigating court in Pamplona. He is being called to testify as an investigated party following his failure to appear twice before the Parliament of Navarre's investigative commission.

The parliamentary commission was examining public works bidding and awarding processes conducted by the Government of Navarre over the last four legislative terms. Specifically, the inquiry concerns Acciona's involvement in projects such as the Belate tunnel, which the company participated in via a joint venture with Osés Construcción and Servinabar.

Acciona previously attempted to send other executives to the hearings, but the commission maintained that Entrecanales must appear personally. The company had previously cited unavoidable commitments abroad as the reason for his absence during the January and February summons.
