Accor announces 23 hotel projects in Dominican Republic

Accor has detailed a portfolio of 23 hotel projects in the Dominican Republic, aiming to add approximately 6,000 rooms to the country's tourism capacity. The announcement follows the signing of development agreements and memorandums of understanding during the Dominican Week in Paris.

In Punta Cana, the company plans to open the Novotel Punta Cana in 2027, with additional Novotel and ibis Styles locations projected for 2030. Other planned developments include brands such as Mövenpick, TRIBE, and Swissôtel in Cabo Engaño, as well as expansions of the ibis and ibis budget brands in Miches, Juan Dolio, and the northern coast.

These projects represent projected developments at various stages rather than currently operational hotels. The full impact on employment and tourism capacity remains dependent on the successful progression and operation of these planned sites.
