Accor launches Grand Mercure in São Paulo's Pinheiros district

Accor has launched the Grand Mercure São Paulo Pinheiros, a premium hotel located in the Pinheiros district of São Paulo. The property, which occupies the former Hilton Garden Inn Rebouças, is part of a mixed-use complex on Avenida Rebouças. The asset was acquired by CVPAR Capital for R$ 110 million.

Since its official inauguration in early September, the hotel has reported a 70% occupancy rate. The transition to the Grand Mercure brand has enabled a significant increase in pricing; average daily rates now exceed R$ 800 (excluding breakfast), representing an increase of more than 20% compared to the previous R$ 650 rates.

Abel Castro, Chief Development Officer for Accor Americas, stated that the project aligns with the company’s strategy of utilizing franchises, converting existing assets, and expanding premium brands. The repositioning involved renovations to decor, furniture, and service standards to enhance the guest experience.
